Businesses Give $51,750 in EITC Grants

Allentown, PA  (January 17, 2023, ) – The Allentown School District Foundation received $51,750 in EITC grants from small, medium and large regional companies between November 1, 2022 and January 11, 2023. The Allentown School District Foundation is an Educational Improvement Organization (EIO) registered and approved to accept donations through the Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC).

 

Funds donated through the EITC program support the Kindergarten Reading Program, the Renaissance Artist-In-Residence program, elementary supplemental music experiences and more. EITC funds also support secondary level programs like Science Fair, Middle School Strings with El Sistema, civic  and flexible grants for the district's middle and high school dance, vocal  instrumental music, poetry, and theatre groups.

 

Funding during this period was provided by American Bank, Fulton Bank N.A., Mid Penn Bank, Morey Nee Buck & Oswald LLC, PPL Services Corp., QNB, UGI Utilities, Univest, Vistacom, and Weis Markets, Inc. "Community support is essential to the Foundation's ability to offer enrichment experiences to students in Allentown Schools, and we thank each of these businesses for their EITC gifts," stated Daniel Bosket, ASD Foundation president.
