Gala 2022 Major Sponsors

The ASD Foundation Gala is going to be in person!

And, in recognition of the ongoing Covid pandemic, we are designing a Gala Weekend to provide more options to participate safely.

Join us at the Americus Hotel at 6:00 pm on Saturday, March 19, 2022
Adapting to the latest health and safety protocols, we have new features planned – including a Roaming Reception to accommodate social distancing and encourage conversation, raffles, a Gala Grand Prize and the reveal of a new "ASDF Short Film" about the Foundation.

Join us at Dieruff High School at 3:00 pm on Sunday, March 20, 2022
The auditorium at Dieruff will provide plenty of seating for guests to spread out and enjoy a professionally created video production featuring 2021-2022 performances by many of the student groups you have come to expect and love to see at the Gala.

This is the 12th High Notes Gala which provides significant financial support for our many programs and helps to sustain our work. We hope to inspire you to make a difference for students and educators in the Allentown School District through your participation in the High Notes Gala as a sponsor or advertiser and/or as an attendee.  Please see the Sponsors and Advertisers information sheet to learn more about various support opportunities.

Visit this page again soon for tickets.

Why have the Gala?

After more than a year of online learning since spring 2020, most Allentown School District students returned to the classroom this fall. This means the Foundation has been able to return to more traditional ways of supporting students compared to the emergency Covid support we provided last year. With a mission to encourage, promote, support, and fund positive educational experiences for students in the Allentown School District, the ASDF Board is pleased to resume:

  • Artist Residencies: Two teaching artists provided 8-week sessions with elementary students learning about the Great Barrier Reef using oil pastels at Union Terrace and Ramos Elementary Schools; and learning about non-fiction texts like almanacs and cookbooks using paper arts at the Newcomer K6 Academy and Jefferson Elementary School.
  • Music: Students are learning to play the violin and viola at Raub Middle School through lessons provided by El Sistema.
  • Literacy: Volunteers have resumed their weekly visits to kindergarten and first grade classrooms, and three orientation sessions this fall have helped increase the number of active volunteers to 52. We would love more!
  • Science Fair: Students are preparing their projects. Come to the event in June!
  • Teacher Innovation Grants: $19,125 was awarded to 17 teachers in 11 schools in December.
  • Middle School Latin Dance, RBI and DRIVE baseball, and more!
