High School Camps
Allentown Municipal Golf Course :

1 Student – Full Season

Student will receive a Junior Season Pass to the Allentown Municipal Golf Course and may use the course anytime Mon-Fri and after 2 on weekends.

ArtsQuest – Banana Factory Summer Camp :

Banana Factory summer camp provides young artists the opportunity to explore & create art. At the Banana Factory Arts Center, teen artists can spend the summer stretching their creative limits, building their artistic skills or even prepare for a career with further studies in the visual arts. Teen Intensives also give young artists the opportunity to study a specific medium in-depth. Intensives are held in the mornings and afternoons giving teens the flexibility to include art in their schedules. Class sizes are kept small to provide individualized attention, mentorship and guidance from a professional artist.

Civic Theatre School kids don’t just learn how to act but gain important life skills that help them grow. Classes like those at Civic Theatre help foster positive achievement, collaborative-working and critical-thinking skills. Studies have shown that theatre classes can not only enhance creativity, but help develop skills that assist in learning languages and even mathematics.
Learn! Since theatre education is an interdisciplinary art form, it satisfies our human need to express thoughts and feelings through written text, dramatic interpretation and multimedia production. The Civic Theatre School, the oldest continually operating theatre education program in the Lehigh Valley, is based in solid educational principles and incorporates many of the elements of the Pennsylvania Education Standards for the Arts and Humanities.

Community Bike Works – Earn a Bike :

60 students – 12 weeks - 1 session/week

You can earn a bike at Community Bike Works, and you can also do a lot more. Students begin their journey through Bike Works in Earn a Bike, and may then participate in our full range of programs. All programs are offered at no cost, and students may participate until they turn 18. As students move through the programs, they gain increasing responsibility and opportunities.
EARN A BIKE. Get ready to get your hands dirty! In Community Bike Works’ flagship Earn a Bike program, students team up with adult mentors for a 12-week course in bike mechanics and safety. Class topics include tires & tubes, hubs, brakes, headsets & more. During the rodeo class, students practice safe riding.

Students work from a manual, and each student keeps a journal of his or her progress. Students arrive for class on time and ready to work, work at a task until completed, see the satisfaction of turning a broken bike into a functional one. Once students complete their classes, they earn their refurbished bike and new helmet! Earn a Bike classes are held onsite at our downtown Allentown bike shop. Plus, we're now in East Allentown as well, at the Mosser Village Family Center at 614 S. Carlisle Street, Allentown, 18109 (at the entrance to Keck Park).

Onsite classes generally meet once a week from 6-8 pm in the spring, summer, and fall.

Touchstone Theatre – Teen Ensemble :

Touchstone Ensemble Members introduce interested teens (13-17 years old) of all experience levels to the exciting art of theatre performance, playwriting, and creating original theatre as an “ensemble”. Now expanded to two weeks long, this dynamic summer program culminates in a completely original show created and performed by the teen artists in Touchstone’s intimate 75-seat theatre. Teen ensemble performance on Friday, July 19.

Bethlehem Football Camp is designed to offer quality, age-appropriate, individual instruction from local high school and college coaches. Campers will work on the fundamentals of the game as well as position-specific techniques to help them become better overall football players.
 
BASKETBALL CAMP: Freedom High School, 3149 Chester Ave, Bethlehem, PA 18020

Bethlehem Basketball Camp features Scott Coval, the Lehigh Valley’s premiere shooting expert, and Joe Stellato, the Freedom High School Head Boys’ Coach. This is a great opportunity for boys and girls, ages 7-15, to get quality individual shooting instruction and work on fundamentals of the game of basketball. This weeklong camp includes dribbling, passing, and defensive skills for the first three days and shooting fundamentals with Coach Coval on the last two days.

Bethlehem Baseball Camp is designed to offer instruction on fundamental baseball skills as well as higher level strategies. Campers will receive equal time for group and individual instruction, will play in games, and will be evaluated in the areas of hitting, pitching, catching, fielding, and base running. This year’s camp features Andy Pitsilos, Head Coach at Liberty High School and Nick D’Amico, Head Coach at Freedom High School.

Middle school students may attend either the Mini-Medical School Camp or Engineering with Arduino: July 8-12 or 15-19 or Aug. 5-9 or 12-16

Experienced educators lead hands-on STEM activities that inspire campers to think creatively, be curious, and learn through their own observations and discoveries. Campers will make new friends, develop lifelong critical thinking skills, and have fun with science. Give your child the super powers of science and help them question, examine, and re-imagine the world around them.

Camp LCTI is centered around "Steam-focused fun & career exploration." Participants take four classes that challenge them with career-related topics and experiences in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM). They engage with tools available in LCTI's high-tech facilities in Schnecksville and learn about the value of career and technical education at a place where many local high school students learn and train.
